On Bear Patrol with Local Bear Ambassador in Coquitlam, BC

Last week I was thrilled to join Maya, a well-known local Bear Ambassador out for a bike ride in the area around Minnekhada Regional Park and Pitt-Addington Marsh. This is an area that is well known as a hotspot for Black Bears, especially for mothers and cubs. Shortly after shooting Maya was featured on Global BC for coming to the rescue of a well known 16 year old bear and her three cubs. We discuss the bears in the area, what she's obserrved over the years and I ask the question, how do all these bears seem to get along. Its an informative, scenic and sometimes entertaining look at our local bears.
