Stitch Welding the Engine Bay and Building an Exhaust From a Kit | 1994 Grand Prix

Here’s the description with the chapters added: This week, the Grand Prix lost its engine. On purpose, mostly. To stitch weld the engine bay, the subframe and engine had to come out. That leaves a lot of empty space and a lot of seams to weld. Stitch welding stiffens up a chassis that’s been flexing since 1994, and it gave me plenty of time to question my welding technique. With the bay done, I moved on to the exhaust. I built it from a universal kit and a set of headers, which meant a lot of measuring, cutting, test-fitting, and re-cutting. It isn’t a professional exhaust shop, but it bolts up and it’s mine. No fancy shop, just some tools and optimism.
