Crush a blueberry and the blue disappears 🫐

Blueberries have no blue pigment. 🫐 The colour inside them is actually dark red. Their blue comes from a thin waxy coating on the skin, full of tiny structures that scatter blue light. Crush the berry and the coating can't do its job, which is why the juice comes out deep purple-pink instead of blue. #asmr #blueberry #cake #baking #miniaturecooking #satisfying #miniature #foodscience #dessert #cozy
