Are You Seeking God… or Just the Restoration?

What if you could spend years praying, fasting, believing, studying Scripture, watching for signs, and standing for your marriage… and still lose sight of the One you were supposed to be seeking? Matthew 7:21–23 gives us a sobering warning. Jesus speaks about people who had done incredible things in His name—but their activity did not equal intimacy with Him. And I believe there is a powerful lesson here for every marriage stander. Your stand can become so focused on the outcome that you forget to seek the One who holds the outcome. You can become consumed with: “When will they come home?” “Is God moving?” “Is this a sign?” “What is my spouse doing?” “When will restoration happen?” But God may be asking a deeper question: “Are you seeking Me?” Your marriage matters. Your covenant matters. Restoration matters. But God must remain greater than the restoration you are praying for. Don't seek the restoration more than you seek the Restorer. Don't seek the testimony more than you seek the Testifier. Don't seek the answer more than you seek the One who answers. Seek first the Kingdom of God. And let God take care of the results.
