Renacimiento - Renacimiento (1978 Mexico) | Christian Psych / Folk Rock | Full Vinyl Rip

Renacimiento is the only known album by Renacimiento, self-released in Mexico in 1978 with no label, recorded at Laser Studio. This is a private press with no commercial distribution - the catalog number PHI renaci-78109 is the band's own designation. The record was made by Philip Watkinson, an American Christian missionary who spent his life in Mexico, and was an early pioneer of Spanish-language contemporary Christian music. In 1978 that scene barely existed - his contemporaries were Sergio Moreno of La Tierra Prometida, La Generacion de Jesus, and Alejandro Alonso, who recorded for Maranatha Music. Watkinson came before most of them. The album sits at the intersection of psych rock, folk rock, and evangelical Christian content - the title translates directly to Rebirth, and tracks like El Hijo Del Hombre (Son of Man), Al Dios No Conocido (To The Unknown God), and Date Cuenta (Wake Up/Take Notice) make the intent clear. Copies are genuinely scarce - fewer than 40 are known to exist in collections. 🔥 Standout tracks include: Date Cuenta, El Hijo Del Hombre, and Unidos Estamos. 🎸 Sounds like: Earthen Vessel, Love Song, Peace And Love, La Tierra Prometida 🎧 Vinyl Finds Playlist:    • Vinyl Finds - New Records Added to My Coll...   🎧 Full Vinyl Rips Playlist:    • Full Vinyl Rips - Rare Psychedelic & Rock LPs   📷 Instagram:   / vinyl_piper   I sell my doubles and extras here: https://vinylpipershop.com/ 💿 Tracklist 00:00 Unidos Estamos 04:33 El Hijo De Hombre 06:55 Date Cuenta 10:31 Arriba La Juventud 13:59 La Balada Del Inconverso 17:15 Llanto 19:21 Al Dios No Conocido 21:57 Renacimiento 25:12 Pocos Años Tengo 26:53 Sigue El Ritmo 30:12 Final #Renacimiento #ChristianPsych #MexicanRock #FolkRock #PrivatePress #VinylRip #VinylPiper
