Huzzah! The 52nd annual Texas Renaissance Festival opens this weekend

Get ready lords and ladies, the Texas Renaissance Festival is back for another season of medieval magic! The 52nd annual festival opens this weekend, October 10th, bringing eight weekends of jousting, feasting, shopping, entertainment and plenty of Renaissance-style fun to the village. Spanning 60 acres, the festival transforms into a 16th-century village filled with 200 costumed characters, 21 stages and 400 shoppes featuring artisans, craftspeople and one-of-a-kind finds. And, of course, there’s plenty of food and drink to keep festival-goers fueled for a full day of adventure. Whether you’re there to cheer on the knights, catch a live performance, browse handmade treasures or simply show off your best Renaissance-inspired outfit, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The 200-acre New Market Campground gives visitors even more room to enjoy the festivities and soak up the Renaissance atmosphere. This year’s festival runs eight weekends from October 10 through November 29, including the Friday after Thanksgiving. Tickets are on sale now, and for more information and tickets, visit texrenfest.com. Watch as Lauren Kelly catches up with The King all about this year’s exciting new additions!
