The first two versions of the Spousal Assault Risk Assessment Guide (SARA and SARA-Version 2; Kropp, Hart, Webster, & Eaves, 1994, 1995) were developed in the early 1990s during a time of increased recognition of the social and economic tolls caused by spousal violence in our society.
