Kamario Taylor threw for 360 yards and three touchdowns, and his 24-yard strike to Sanfrisco Magee with 3:57 left snapped a fourth-quarter tie and sent No. 24 Mississippi State past No. 19 Missouri. The Bulldogs rallied from a 24-17 deficit and held off the Tigers 31-24 at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville, improving to 4-0 while Missouri fell to 3-1. Taylor got Mississippi State rolling early, finding Magee for a 43-yard score in the first quarter before hitting Fluff Bothwell for an 11-yard touchdown to make it 14-0. Missouri answered behind Austin Simmons, who threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to Cayden Lee, who finished with 11 catches for 156 yards. Blake Craig's field goal and Donovan Olugbode's 9-yard touchdown catch pulled the Tigers within four before halftime, and Lee's touchdown grabs in the third quarter — from 21 and 28 yards out — put Missouri ahead 24-17. Kyle Ferrie's 28-yard field goal briefly tied it at 17 in between. Mississippi State answered in the fourth quarter when Bothwell, who ran for 122 yards on 25 carries, punched in a 4-yard touchdown to even the score before Taylor and Magee connected again to put the Bulldogs in front for good. Anthony Evans III added 114 yards on eight catches, and Marcus Williams and Daeden Hopkins each made their presence felt up front, with Hopkins racking up 3.5 sacks for Missouri and Williams adding one for Mississippi State. Jardin Gilbert led the Bulldogs with nine tackles, while Robert Woodyard Jr. paced Missouri with 14.
