In this lab demonstration, we explore Microsoft Entra Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and how it can be used to manage privileged access using a just-in-time approach. In this demo, you will see how to: Configure an eligible privileged role Activate a privileged role when required Set an activation duration and provide justification Configure approval for privileged role activation Review and approve a role activation request Verify active role assignments Deactivate privileged access after completing the task Enable a system-assigned managed identity for an Azure resource The lab demonstrates how Microsoft Entra PIM supports least privilege by avoiding unnecessary permanent administrative access. Lab Resources & Practice The lab demonstrated in this video is based on publicly available Microsoft Learning lab resources. Use the demonstration as a reference, but perform the lab yourself to build practical identity and security skills. Some labs create Azure resources that may incur charges. Review the resources created during the exercise and delete them when they are no longer required.
