(GENESYS) MY FAVOURITE GAME, BEARS N' ADDERS - Ursarctic Mitsurugi (March 2026)

What strategy draws 7 cards, plays turn 0, has infinite grindgame, can go +20 on turn 1 and has 14 handtraps? It's not some crazy meta deck, it's URSARCTIC MITSURUGI! These bears n' adders work surprisingly well together, since all Ursarctic does is tribute level 7 or higher monsters, and the Mitsurugi rituals are level 8! Whenever they're tributed, you get to search any Mitsurugi combo piece from deck, meaning you can theoretically search everything you need to play Mitsurugi on turn 0 while interrupting your opponent with massed Ursarctic handtraps! Not yet impressed? Ursarctic sports a DRAW SEVEN continuous spell - Ursarctic Radiation as it's strongest card, allowing you draw into more advantage like side deck cards, Maxx "C," Mitsurugi engine, etc. All the level 8 Ursarctic monsters are handtraps, with big clawed Megabilis (D.D Crow), hammer wielding Megapolar (MST) & the bow sniping Megatanus (Book of Moon). Ursarctic Septentrion made with Polar Star makes an incredibly oppressive 3K attack floodgate, rendering any Extra Deck monster weak and helpless vs. your bear and reptile onslaught. I chose to spend all GENESYS points on this deck on double Maxx "C," since there's basically no room on non-engine, so I took the most expensive high impact card I can get that obtains more advantage, since this strategy thrives on drawing and searching 10+ cards. After you control your opponent's deck with your Ursarctic cards, wipe their field with Mitsurugi and drown them in card advantage with both decks, you should be able to win!
