I trusted this time estimate too much, which was my fault. The route itself was within my physical and technical abilities. The real problem was that the time estimate was too optimistic. Finding your way on unfamiliar mountain paths and reading maps consume time, and filming quietly eats up a lot of time, making me too relaxed during the first half. And most importantly: whether or not you plan to hike at night, bring a headlamp! I didn't plan to night hike, so I only brought a fill light, which was very bad. After dark, I ultimately chose to retreat via Route 656. Although the last section required climbing up and was more physically demanding, given the terrain and my condition at that moment, I judged it to be more controllable than groping my way along a long downhill in the dark.
