After long penance to win Lord Shiva, her body was covered in dust and grew dark; Shiva bathed her with the waters of the Ganga and she shone brilliant white, like the conch, the moon and jasmine. She wears white, rides a white bull, and holds a trident and a damaru, with her other hands removing fear and giving blessings. She is worshipped on Ashtami for purity, peace and the washing away of past mistakes. (If you removed any verse from the song, remove it here too.) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌺 NAVDURGA SERIES – a new Devi every day of Navratri 🙏 Like, share and subscribe to Mantraa Verse so you don't miss a day.
