For ten years, telescopes photographed a world beyond Pluto — and never saw it.
On 27 October 2026, the Rubin Observatory announced 2026 ED138: a dwarf-planet candidate about 46 times farther from the Sun than Earth, hidden for a decade in the glare of the Milky Way.
This is not a confirmed planet. Its size is estimated, not measured, at 600–1,500 km, and its roundness is still unproven. This investigation follows how the code found it, why Pluto lost its crown in 2006, what blind spot kept ED138 hidden, what we still do not know, and the three tests that will decide whether it joins Pluto, Eris, Haumea, Makemake and Ceres — or stays a candidate. It is not Planet Nine.
Every WHY hides a buried truth.
