F-roads of Iceland: F923 (Jökuldalsvegur) (26.09.2020)

In this video we shall explore two roads located more in the east of Iceland - 907 and F923. Some sources refer to 907 also being an F-road, but it seems not to be in the official list of F-roads (maybe it used to be in the past). So, in the beginning we turn down from Route 1, drive a little bit on road 901 and then turn left onto 907 (Brúarvegur). There is a nice turf house and farm museum on 907, called Sænautasel. After 907 we turn right onto 923. It turns into an F-road after the last farm and straight away there is quite a wide unbridged river that needs to be forded in order to carry on. There is a second river crossing also, but that once is located a little bit before the end of the road. Eventually, F923 ends with merging into road 910. We did this trip at the end of September and some parts of the road were already covered by quite a bit of snow. As usual, the car for our journey was a Nissan Pathfinder R51.
