Did you know that President Trump had the White House’s East Wing demolished to make way for a magnificent 90,000-square-foot ballroom, with the latest estimated cost reaching around $600 million? Trump has described the ballroom as a “gift” to future presidents and to the United States of America. But somehow, from the Oval Office, Mr President seems to have put aside Greenland and Canada for a moment and remembered his old career as a real estate developer. 😂 The project has sparked considerable controversy. Trump has even described opposition to his ballroom project as “disloyal” to America. Then, in May, Donald Trump travelled to China for a state visit with President Xi Jinping. After attending a spectacular state banquet at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People, the grandeur of the surroundings may have given his ambitious ballroom plans an extra boost. He wrote: “China has a Ballroom, and so should the U.S.A.!” So, when I had the rare chance to film the Freedom of Inverclyde Parade last Saturday, a rather mischievous thought popped into my head… What if Trump — the son of a Scottish mother — sees a spectacular Scottish military parade like THIS?
