VR 360 Geology Field Trip - Volcano Discovery Centre and Sharp Island

The Volcano Discovery Centre at downtown Sai Kung provides basic information about volcanology, volcano structure, volcanic eruptions and related geological knowledge, and introduces the features of the geosites in Hong Kong Geopark. Sharp Island (Kiu Tsui Chau) is just 2,000 metres off Sai Kung Pier. One can find various igneous rocks, such as volcanic breccia, rhyolite and quartz monzonite along the trail. Sharp Island is an ideal place for appreciating and studying igneous rocks.
