(I did not create either C&C Generals/Zero Hour nor the Shockwave mod variations)
Had to rely on the steam recorder app for the last to gen challenge runs involving Tao and Kwai, as the Outplayed recorder was being stubborn at not letting my login to remove the annoying "watermark feature added unless signed into Outplayed" bit, and since the steam recorder app is noted for having annoying lightning issues whilst recording, you likely noticed it during the last to gen challenge vids of those specific gen maps, still would like a proper remedy for that annoying lighting-based issue for the steam recorder app though, seriously. X( Regardless, finally managed to log into the Overplayed app again, since I guess it stopped being "stubbornly annoying" like it was before, of which i'm grateful for obviously.
This one took SO. MANY. RESTARTS...! DX
At any rate, eight things to take note of in Shockwave's variation of Leang's gen challenge map. One, she'll constantly send MiGs and Phoenix EMP-laced rocket bombers to your base/assault forces or any lone units that are unstealthed roaming about the map. Two, unlike the regular Leang gen challenge map, you don't have any "bunker resets" to rely on, but the good news is that you don't need to worry about three SWs, just one, but make no mistake, the "Ground Shaker" SW absolutely WRECKS whatever is on the ground (though aerial units will be fine obviously), so making sure to build two SWs to keep it dusted is pretty much VITAL towards ensuring that it'll be prevented from fucking over your initial starting base, plus, the site it's located at is permanently revealed from the start, meaning you can always check if it's in the process of being rebuilt after dusting it time and time again. Three, after a thankfully-generous amount of time passes, Leang sends a LOT of Blackshark choppers to your base from the north, so unless you have heavy AA prepared, your ground units/structures won't survive them, especially those assault-equipped Blacksharks, so be sure to prepare a sufficient amount of AA to fully down them when they inevitably arrive at regular intervals throughout the gen challenge. Four, do NOT destroy the near-death CC located at the location where the cliffside "tech center-looking" bunker is located normally in Leang's vanilla gen challenge variant of this map early, only right at the end when the enemy is severely crippled, as doing so is actually VERY ILL-ADVISED , as it's practically the ONLY THING that prevents Leang from rebuilding her dozers for some strange reason, so again, leave that CC alone until you have most of the enemy taken care of, since you'll VERY MUCH REGRET IT if you don't heed this warning. Five, cluster mines are buried ALL OVER the paths to Leang's main base, so if you ignore this, then you'll get your assault forces mined to scrap heaps and dead bodies, so always use stealth detection to help clear out those pesky mines in your way before pressing any ground forces forward. Six, her blackshark choppers and infantry have no AA capability whatsoever, same goes for those annoying Phoenix bombers, but her MiG jets do, so remember this. Seven, use your CC/SWs as "aggro-shields" for Leang's Phoenix/MiGs/Blacksharks and eventual ground forces, as doing so will have them focus on them instead of your invaluable Little Bird defenders and be sure to build at least 4 Chevalier Paladins (10 later on when your money is fully stabilized via enough Supply Drop Zones, usually 8 SDZs is enough for me) to tackle any annoying ground forces Leang sends at you and use your two MRLS launchers or Little Birds to kill those annoying Grinder arty units, as their PDL-equipped (when said upgrade is done at the Drone Assembly extension part of course) battle drones, along with the ground/air vulcan MGs for the Chevalier Paladins help out a great deal when properly micro'd. Eight, last but certainly not least, use black widow fighters to "guard" the eastern portion of your base, with two guarding one section and the other two guarding a section slightly more east of it, though be sure that they're guarding the "map border edge" so that Leang's ever-annoying gatling tanks don't become aggroed to them, this'll prevent those two damn anvil mobile platforms from wrecking your base from the east after a thankfully-long portion of time passes, do NOT neglect to do this, as failure to do so WILL result in said anvils dusting your base starting on the eastern side, no bullshit.
