UNSATISFIED: Miami Is Back at No. 1, But the Standard Demands MORE

The Miami Hurricanes are BACK at No. 1 in the AP Top 25 for the first time in nearly 24 years. But for a program built on national championships, simply reaching the top of the rankings isn’t enough. On today’s episode of State of Miami, John Michaels breaks down Miami’s return to the top of college football, why the Hurricanes still have plenty to clean up following their dramatic double-overtime victory over Florida State, and why the standard under Mario Cristobal demands much more than a No. 1 ranking. Miami has put itself in position to accomplish something special, but the expectations have only grown. Can the Hurricanes handle the pressure, continue improving, and turn their regular-season success into a national championship? The message is simple: Being No. 1 is an accomplishment. Staying there and finishing the job is what matters.
