Challenges of education in the mountain areas of Bududa and Mbale

Bududa district is one of the hard-to-reach areas in Uganda and for teachers and pupils who attend schools tucked high in the hills, it is quite an experience. The rainy season makes the steep paths muddy and slippery, and many of the teachers carry an extra pair of clothes and shoes to wear in class.
