The storms that reshape history rarely arrive without warning. In this timely message, "The Blowing Winds of War," we examine Proverbs 21:29–31 to discover how God calls His people to recognize the signs of the times, prepare spiritually, and place their confidence in Him rather than in human strength.
Just as strong winds often announce the arrival of a storm, the social, political, economic, and moral turmoil surrounding us are warning signs of greater challenges ahead. Yet this message is not intended to inspire fear or speculation about the end times. Instead, it is a call to renewed faithfulness. Rather than retreating in despair or abandoning Christ's mission, believers are urged to continue loving their neighbors, serving others, and faithfully carrying out the teachings of Jesus.
Drawing from Proverbs, the sermon contrasts the hardened confidence of those who ignore God's warnings with the wisdom of those who carefully consider His Word. While people may prepare for conflict through human planning and strategy, ultimate victory and deliverance belong to the Lord. Christians are therefore called to prepare—not merely with physical readiness—but by strengthening their faith, deepening their commitment to God's truth, and building their lives on the solid foundation of Christ’s word and teaching.
No one knows what tomorrow holds, but God has never left His people without direction. As the winds continue to blow, this message reminds us that the safest place is not in worldly systems but in obedient trust in the sovereign God who remains in control of every storm.
