KiwiRail's DX Locomotives - The Final Days

This is a video project, I'm very excited to finally release! I've wanted to film this video since the brand new DM locomotives were first announced, but due to various setbacks, I was never able to get down to the South Island, that is of course until now! I took 2 weeks off work, packed up my ute, and went in convoy with a few other railfans to document and capture the DX locomotives working in their final days. With some DX locomotives already on African soil getting ready to begin their new lives, this could very well be the last time I'll catch a DX hauling a freight train (the presumed retire date is around August 2027, so get out there and catch them while you can!) which makes this video quite special. I started working on this video months before I went down South, planning out everything and it's safe to say I'm very happy with how things have turned out. Enjoy!
