Praia da Comenda

A Praia da Comenda apresenta uma fina língua de areal extensa. Integra a foz do Rio Sado pela margem Norte. A encosta está preenchida por uma espessa e verde mata. A Oeste, a praia é delimitada pelo Palácio da Comenda e pela foz da Ribeira da Ajuda, Aravil ou Comenda, cujas margens albergam vestígios de um povoado romano e de uma fábrica de salga de peixe. The Comenda beach has a fine long sandy extension. It is integrated within the mouth of the Sado River in the North bank. The slope is filled with thick, green forest. To the west, the beach is bounded by the Comenda Palace and by the mouth of the Ajuda, Aravil or Comenda riverlet, whose banks are home to the remains of a Roman settlement and a fish salting factory.
