Three male lion chasing two older males north of Satara Kruger Park

On February 10th, 2024, we went on a game drive from Satara to Olifants Camp. While en route, we passed by the Timbavati Picnic site turn-off and witnessed an interesting spectacle. Five male lions were running in the road, and it took us some time to figure out what was happening. It seemed like a territorial display of dominance, as the two older males were being chased by three younger males who were foaming heavily from their mouths, indicating that they were under stress and not happy with the situation. As they were roaring and marking territory our guest was in awe with the sighting and for the most part, we were alone on the sighting really some Kruger Park magic to remember for sure.
