DIY Flirt Pole

PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION Flirt poles can be a really wonderful way to exercise our dogs while instilling some much needed impulse control. They are especially handy for dogs that have high prey drive and/or dogs that have a natural desire to chase, like herding breeds. However, it is important that our dogs already have a couple of important skills before playing this game: a good release cue ("drop it") and at least some semblance of impulse control. Otherwise, playing this game with your dog could prove to be a hellish experience! So, if you haven't watched my "How To Play Tug With Your Dog" video yet, please do so as that video is a really great place to start before introducing a flirt pole game with your dog.
