- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Black Balloon is a short film by brothers Josh and Benny Safdie, serving as a kind of continuation of Albert Lamorisse’s classic The Red Balloon, but through a darker, urban lens. The film blends elements of fantasy and social drama, capturing the unique atmosphere of New York City through the perspective of a black balloon that drifts in search of companionship among people. The film was inspired by a video sent to the Safdie brothers by designer Andy Spade, showing a black balloon dodging cars on a crowded street. This clip sparked the idea for a story in which the balloon becomes a silent observer of human emotions and interactions in a bustling metropolis. As it journeys through the city, the balloon seeks a companion and discovers that humans are complex yet vibrant beings, each with their own highs and lows. #Короткометражка #ShortFilm #BennySafdie #JoshSafdie #Safdie
