#NewsUpdate|| Khurkhul Muga Silk Products Take Centre Stage at MANITEX 2026 Imphal, November 5: Traditional Muga silk products from Khurkhul are drawing attention at the Manipur International Textile Expo (MANITEX) 2026, being held at Urban Haat, Nilakuthi, Imphal East, under the theme “Weave for Togetherness: Many Threads, One Manipur.” Heikham Bidyapati Leima, President of Khurkhul Silk Production Centre, Khurkhul Makha Leikai, is participating in the expo to showcase and market locally produced traditional silk products, including Muga phaneks, phis, feijoms and kurtas. Her participation highlights the craftsmanship and weaving heritage of Khurkhul while providing local silk producers an opportunity to reach a wider market and promote indigenous textile products.
