Dhaka is rapidly transforming with several major infrastructure projects, and one of the most important among them is the Dhaka Inner Circular Ring Road. The project aims to develop an alternative road network around the capital and help reduce pressure on central city roads. In this video, we explore the latest construction progress along the western section of the project, covering Rayerbazar, Hazaribagh, Kamrangirchar, Lalbagh and Lohar Bridge. This September 6, 2026 update shows the real ground situation of the project, including the development of the 8-lane road, road widening, sub-base preparation, asphalt paving, central median installation, RCC barriers, overpass construction, piers and pier caps, girder installation, approach roads and large RCC retaining walls along the canal. You will see how the narrow roads of Rayerbazar are gradually transforming into a much wider modern road. We also explore the construction progress around Hazaribagh Bowbazar, the new overpass near the Hazaribagh fruit market, the retaining wall along the Buriganga Adi Channel and the major construction activities around Lalbagh and Lohar Bridge.
