Raw video: New Hph Shark 4 prototype walkaround

August 22nd 2026. NG had travelled to Zbraslavice near the HQ of HpH Sailplanes in the Czech Republic for an exclusive test flight of the new Shark 4 18m prototype. The weather, however, had other plans, and served up a spicy cocktail of low clouds and strong crosswinds gusting up to 28 kts. After some eyeballing of the spectacularly erect wind sock and with the song of the wind howling in the hangar structure, The editor of Nordic Gliding and HpH-ceo Jaroslav Potmesil were in total agreement not to risk an accident by attempting a flight with the new glider in these conditions. Instead they had an informal chat about the well known Shark-glider now modernized with a completely new 18 meter wing and promising profile design. Later a 20 meter version will follow.
