A good project starts before the first task: with a shared purpose, clear roles, and a problem worth solving. In this WFED 119 workshop, Dr. Yoon guides students from a project idea to a working team plan. The class develops a team charter, agrees on ground rules and communication, assigns responsibilities, and begins the action-learning workbook. A bonfire project becomes a practical example for asking better questions about location, permissions, partners, and participation. The session also explores how AI can support brainstorming and organization while students retain responsibility for decisions, action, and personal reflection. During team work and coaching, the discussion turns to meaningful impact: what will change, who will benefit, and how will the team know?
