Giant Shigandang is a massive secret boss hidden in Mount Huaguo in Black Myth: Wukong. Born from a celestial stone that absorbed the essence of the sun and moon for a thousand years, this enormous stone Yaoguai became a vessel for a mysterious fleshy Buddha head that continuously drained its power. The Giant Shigandang encounter is also tied to the Four Skandhas. Once all four are collected, the giant stone creature emerges, leading to one of the largest encounters in Chapter 6. Unlike most bosses, Giant Shigandang does not provide a normal item drop. Instead, after defeating it, the Destined One can climb onto its body and obtain the Skandha of Consciousness. Watch for the hand swing → double-slam sequence and jump or dodge the shockwaves. Attack the large blue crystals whenever an opening appears; destroying them deals huge damage. Use A Pluck of Many during these openings to maximize damage. After the boss reaches very low health, immediately back away. Its final sequence consists of several rapid slams followed by one devastating final slam. After the final attack, climb onto its hand to obtain the secret reward. 📍 Location Foothills – Verdant Path Shrine From the Verdant Path Shrine, pass the Supreme Celestial Inspector area and reach the next area after obtaining the Somersault Cloud. Head straight and slightly left toward Son of Stones. Continue past him until you reach an area with water and an orange/yellow tree.
