SUBSCRIBE:    / subscription_c.  . Hey guys, Here's my tribute to - in my mind - one of the most influential musicians and guitarists of the last 100 years: Mr. B. B. King. I was devastated to hear that he passed last week. Despite living a wonderful, long life, I genuinely thought B. B. would survive this latest spell of ill health. What is perhaps most inspiring is that B. B. - right up to a few weeks before his death - was still touring, still playing music, and moving his audiences with his soulful vocal and instantly recognisable guitar sound. I cannot think of any other musician who has spanned the generations, he himself influencing many of the greats that we revere to this day: including Hendrix, Santana, Clapton and John Mayer, amongst many others. He truly lit the torch of the blues electric guitar, and held it high. Despite constant changes in musical trends around him, B. B. stayed traditional and true to the music he loved and helped cement as an integral part of music history: the blues. I truly hope you enjoyed this video, and while I can't do justice to B. B.'s unique touch and playing, I thought I would give it a go, and put my spin on what is probably his most well-known song. Rest in peace, legend. B. King - THE THRILL IS GONE - Lyrics: The thrill is gone The thrill is gone away The thrill is gone baby The thrill is gone away You know you done me wrong baby And you'll be sorry someday The thrill is gone It's gone away from me The thrill is gone baby The thrill is gone away from me Although, I'll still live on But so lonely I'll be The thrill is gone It's gone away for good The thrill is gone baby It's gone away for good Someday I know I'll be open armed baby Just like I know a good man should You know I'm free, free now baby I'm free from your spell Oh I'm free, free, free now I'm free from your spell And now that it's all over All I can do is wish you well
