2027 RAM 2500 HD Tungsten: America’s Newest Heavy-Duty Monster? This Ram 2500 looks like a luxury hotel on wheels… but underneath, it's built to pull some seriously heavy loads. What's up everybody, and welcome back to Roadline Auto, the channel where we break down the trucks you're actually thinking about buying. Today we're looking at the 2027 Ram 2500 HD Tungsten, a big, black-wheeled, chrome-faced heavy-duty pickup that looks like it could tow a house and then valet itself at a five-star hotel. Now, a quick honest note before we start. Tungsten is the flagship trim on the Ram 1500, while the top of the 2500 lineup is the Limited, so think of this video as a look at what a Tungsten-level 2500 HD would be, built on real Ram heavy-duty hardware. Stick around, because we're covering everything from design to price, and the verdict comes at the end. Let's start with the design, because this truck has real presence. From the front, you get a tall, upright nose dominated by a huge chrome-framed grille with the RAM name spelled across the middle, sharp LED projector headlights with a bold light signature, and a silver skid-plate-style lower bumper that gives it a tough attitude. From the side, the long crew cab, wide fender flares and running boards make the proportions look massive, and the panoramic sunroof breaks up all that sheet metal. The wheels are big black five-spoke units with the Ram's-head center cap, wrapped in chunky all-terrain tires that fill the arches nicely. At the rear, the black RAM lettering on the tailgate looks clean against the metallic gray paint, the tall red taillights add a distinctive vertical signature, and you also get dual exhaust tips, a step bumper and a hitch receiver. It's aggressive without being tacky. So what is this truck actually designed to be? Think of it as a luxury tow rig for people who really tow. It isn't a stripped-down fleet truck, and it isn't a light-duty pickup pretending to be tough. It's built for fifth wheels, horse trailers, big boats and heavy equipment, while wrapping the driver in a cabin that feels closer to a premium SUV. The beach shots show it can play in the sand too, but its real job is pulling serious weight in comfort and doing it in style. Now let's talk safety. Heavy-duty pickups like this generally don't get the same crash-test ratings you see on a 1500 or a family SUV, so it makes sense to focus on the hardware instead. Ram equips this platform with heavy-duty four-wheel disc antilock brakes and offers an available automatic smart exhaust brake to help slow heavy loads. The Tow Tech package adds live tire pressure readings for up to four trailers on the digital cluster, which is a great safety feature for towers. On the driver-assist side, expect available features like adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring and surround-view cameras, but always confirm exactly what's included on the build you're shopping. Price is where things get serious. The Ram 2500 has been advertised with a starting MSRP of $45,995, and the flagship 1500 Tungsten is reported at about $91,795 for 2027, including destination. A Tungsten-level 2500 HD with the Cummins diesel and a full options list would land higher, and my estimate is somewhere from the mid-$90,000s to well over $100,000. That's my estimate, not an official Ram price sheet, and the diesel alone usually adds close to ten thousand dollars over the gas V8. Trim, cab, bed and options can swing the final number by a lot. This truck is already massive from the outside… but step inside, and the luxury level goes through the roof. Now the interior, and this is where the Tungsten idea really earns its name. Slide inside and you're met with a dark cabin covered in quilted, diamond-stitched leather with suede accents, RAM lettering embossed into the seatbacks, a quilted center armrest with a metal badge, and matching quilted door panels framed in metallic trim. The dashboard is anchored by a tall vertical touchscreen, a digital gauge cluster sits behind a leather-and-suede steering wheel with the Ram's-head badge, and a rotary shifter with 2WD and 4WD buttons sits just below the metal-trimmed vents. There's a phone tray in the console, a panoramic sunroof overhead, and heavy-duty rubber floor mats to remind you this is still a working truck. The rear bench is just as nice, with a fold-down armrest with cup holders, rear vents and charging ports. For reference, the 1500 Tungsten goes as far as massaging front seats, a suede headliner and a 23-speaker Klipsch audio system, and that's the level of luxury this truck is aiming at. #RAM2500 #RAM2500HD #RAMTungsten #HeavyDutyTrucks #RoadlineAuto
