Generals Semi Hex 2 Pencil Review

The Semi-Hex pencil manufactured in the USA by the General Pencil Co. in Jersey City, NJ is an iconic American pencil. This pencil has been part of the American pencil landscape for longer than most of us have lived, and is available in core grades #1, #2, #2 1/2, #3, and #4. It's name "Semi-Hex" refers to the softly rounded corners of the hexagonal barreled pencil. It features a brass-toned ferrule with a dark purple band and a pink eraser. SMUDGE TEST: very low | low | moderate | moderate plus | high I did not do an on-camera smudge test for the Semi-Hex #2 pencil, but this pencil showed a moderate graphite smudge.
