Welcome back to Daxtastic Reactions — all killer, no filler. We're starting something big today. The Warning just dropped their fifth album, Everything's Falling, and I'm reacting to every single track. This is episode one, and we're going straight to the title track. First impressions: Dany's vocals are front and center in a way I felt was missing on Keep Me Fed, and that alone has me hopeful for the rest of this record. I've said it before and I'll say it again — she has the best set of pipes I've heard from anybody since Ann Wilson. That's not hyperbole, that's my honest position after almost 50 years of listening to music. When she opens up in the back half of this song, that's exactly what I want to hear from this band. The track itself is atmospheric, more of a ballad than I expected, with some interesting guitar work sitting under all of it. And these three have a real knack for a hook. The big question hanging over the whole album for me: how much of the Keep Me Fed production sheen carries over, and how much of the sound that made them stand out in the first place is still intact?
