Grinchmas in July Cruise Day 3: Wholiday Show, Epic Dinner & New Show on Carnival Encounter!

Day 3 of our Grinchmas in July cruise on Carnival Encounter was packed with festive fun, great food, and one of the best new shows we’ve seen on the ship. We kicked off the morning with the Wholiday Show, featuring plenty of Christmas songs and adorable performances from the kids clubs. It’s always a highlight seeing the younger cruisers take the stage and bring the holiday spirit to life. The afternoon was all about relaxing — a quiet sea day vibe — before heading to the thermal suite for some downtime. As the sun started to set, we grabbed popcorn for the early evening movie, which (of course) was The Grinch playing up on the big screen. Dinner tonight was the Grinchmas Dinner, and honestly, it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The quality and flavours really stood out and definitely gave the additional‑cost Grinchmas Long Lunch a run for its money. Let’s just say… viewers can decide for themselves. After dinner, we checked out Dear Future Husband, a brand‑new production show on Encounter. It’s a refreshing change from the usual lineup — telling the story of a young couple who meet on a cruise and eventually get married. The celebration continued right into the Encounter Hotel, where the cast hosted a fun “wedding reception” with dancing and music. We wrapped up the night with Dancing Through the Decades in the Encounter Hotel with the Hot Shots, and then chilled out to Cassidy Rae in the Piano Bar — the perfect end to a festive sea day.
