Music comes from silence. It starts with listening. Sometimes it’s a sound, sometimes a feeling, sometimes just a small idea that appears from somewhere I can’t really explain. I don’t like to force music too much. I prefer to give it space, to stay open, and to follow where it wants to take me. A note becomes a rhythm, a rhythm becomes a melody, and slowly a story begins to reveal itself. For me, silence is important because It gives every sound more meaning. Without silence, there’s no contrast. There’s no space to really listen, to feel, and to be moved by what is happening. Music comes from silence… and eventually, it returns there too.
