I rented a Royal Enfield Classic 350 with a sidecar for a three day road trip around Hua Hin, Thailand, with Sara as my passenger. Day one, I found the problem: there is no reverse gear. Three wheels, left turns that feel like an arm workout, and a lot of pushing. Day one: learning to steer three wheels, a sunset ride, an evening market and a night ride through Hua Hin. Day two: warning lights on the dash before our longest ride, about an hour south to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, a boat, a steep 430 m trail and a royal pavilion inside Phraya Nakhon Cave. Plus chickens. Day three: one last solo ride across Hua Hin and back to the Royal Enfield shop. I'm still a new rider, sharing what I learn on every bike. If you want to come along for the ride, subscribe. Tell me in the comments: would you ride the sidecar... or sit in it?
