[KiniNews] Even the Dewan Rakyat Speaker cannot slap someone and escape legal consequences.
This was the example used by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to illustrate that a person's record of service and good character do not exempt them from being held accountable under the law.
He brought this up while addressing the case involving Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) director-general Shuhaily Zain chief Shuhaily Zain.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, former economy minister Rafizi Ramli was at the Bukit Aman police headquarters today to have his statement recorded.
Rafizi said he had been questioned to assist with investigations into two separate cases based on two different police reports.
