My forever game is shutting down - New World

I spent years looking for an MMO that really felt like home. I tried RuneScape. I tried ESO. I tried a bunch of other games looking for that combination of exploration, progression, combat, gathering and crafting that would actually keep me coming back. Then, around August/September 2025, I found New World. And honestly… it felt like the game I’d been looking for all along. A beautiful open world, action combat that actually felt good, resources everywhere, meaningful crafting, gear progression and that feeling of logging in just because you wanted to see what was around the next corner. There was just one problem. I didn't get much time with it. New World is shutting down, and that genuinely sucks. Not because it was a perfect game — it wasn't — but because I finally found an MMO I could see myself playing for years. I wish I had more time. So this isn't a review. It isn't a rant. It's just me talking about a game that meant more to me than I expected, and trying to make the most of the time we have left in Aeternum. Maybe something like RuneScape 4, ArcheAge Chronicles or Chrono Odyssey will eventually fill that hole. But for now...
