The 2nd round of the CIF Division 1 State Regionals was a great matchup between Redondo Union and the Southern Section D1 Champion, Los Alamitos. Los Alamitos came out on fire and took the early lead as all the Griffen starters got in on the scoring. The Seahawks would weather the storm, Chase Holly nailed a buzzer beater at the end of the 1st quarter to tie the game at 22. With the score locked at 28-28 Redondo Union would go on a 27-7 run to close out the first half and led 55-35 at halftime. Redondo Union never let off the gas in the 2nd half. Brayden Miner connected on 6 threes for the game and led all scorers with 20 point. The Seahawks had 4 players in double figures with a 91-66 victory of Los Alamitos.
