We opted for two separate beds to give the kids more room to move around. Each room includes a safe, ironing board, a small coffee maker, and a balcony with a couple of chairs—perfect for morning coffee or evening wind-downs. While the décor could use a refresh, the layout and square footage more than make up for it. Pools & Water Features: 9.5/10 Lindo has a lot of pool options: a wave pool, a humungous main pool with a swim-up bar, and a quieter pool close to the daybeds. There are plenty of chairs, though if you want a prime spot, be prepared to wake up early. Our family are early risers, but we didn’t find the need to reserve chairs. The variety means there’s something for everyone, from high-energy pool games to relaxed lounging. One thing I would note is that they had very few kids life jacket. Surprisingly only 1 available during our stay (I did see some extras in the Kids Club though). We made do with the floaties when the life jacket was unavailable. Buffet Rating: 9/10 I would rate this resort a 9/10 for the buffet—well above average compared to other all-inclusives in this price range. Lots of options for the kids, and the charcoal-grilled burgers and tacos were delicious. The variety and quality kept our whole group happy throughout the stay. There are even some hand sanitizers stations which I appreciated. Other food items: 9.5/10 I found the other food items and options well above average for an all inclusive. Ice creams, smash burger, tacos, and churro shop by the shopping center were all great. Lines can get long for ice cream. À La Carte: 6.5/10 No surprise, I would overall rate the à la carte restaurants below average compared to what you’d get in a large metropolitan city. That said, I think it’s unreasonable to expect world-class Italian, seafood, and Japanese food while at an all-inclusive. • La Geisha (Teppanyaki): 9/10 for entertainment, 7.3/10 for taste. Fun show, okay food. • El Rancho (Steakhouse): 9/10. Really enjoyed the apps and the steak entrées. • Lemon & Spices (Greek): 6.7/10. I only enjoyed the appetizers • Under the Sea (Seafood): 4/10. Poor service and didn’t enjoy the appetizers or mains. Beach Rating: 3/10 My rating is impacted by the seaweed, which Mexico is known for in the summer months. I’m interested in how Mexico’s new mitigation plan will change things moving forward. The seaweed smelled, it was all over the water and beach, and we only went in the water twice for the duration of our stay. Nightly Entertainment Rating: 7/10 The venue is great—lots of seats, large fans overhead—but the shows were a bit repetitive and lacking in variety. I found it nice that they offered plenty of opportunities for the kids to participate before and after the main shows, which kept them engaged. Gym Rating: 10/10 Looked like a brand-new facility with nicer equipment than I can find at GoodLife or LA Fitness in Toronto. Activities Rating: 10/10 So much for everyone to do. The kids were never bored. Aqua fit in the morning, lazy river, wave pool, main pool, inflatable obstacle courses, volleyball, bingo, mini golf, playground, etc. The resort is absolutely huge, so be prepared to get your steps in—which we didn’t mind. We also took advantage of the golf carts on numerous occasions to get to the lobby, buffet, and beach. Overall Rating: 9/10 I really enjoyed my time at Iberostar Lindo. It’s an absolutely huge resort with something for everyone. It’s very well maintained and cleaner than most other places I’ve been. I’d certainly come back in the future—perhaps not in the beginning of June to try and avoid the seaweed. With Mexico’s new seaweed strategy rolling out in 2026, future summer visits might see improved beach conditions. I also wanted to mention that the weather app was showing rain for our entire duration, but we only ended up getting rain for 30 minutes one evening. Don’t trust the weather app.
