In the wake of Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater coming out, I can't help but notice that the game kind of sucks a lot. Like a lot a lot. And I especially hate that fact, because its generally positive reception means that we're far more likely to get remakes like it over, in my opinion, the textbook example of a good remake: Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. I've always thought Twin Snakes was overhated, and now that I've finally played both it and Delta for myself, I can think of no better way to express my feelings on both of these games than to directly compare them and the ways they try to update their source material.
