Welcome back to The Glow Up Sanctuary. So far this season, we've talked about dreams, hard truths, and symbols. Today we're looking at something practical what it actually looks like to inquire of the Lord, using two examples from Scripture. *Word of the Lord Today:* You are allowed to ask God directly. He is not distant. He welcomes your questions. In the days of old, when people needed direction, they didn't guess — they inquired from the prophet. They actively sought God's perspective rather than assuming they already knew it, or leaving it entirely to chance. I want to highlight two examples today. The first is David. Before major decisions — especially before battles — David regularly inquired of the Lord. He didn't move on assumption or momentum alone. He asked, "Should I go up?" and waited for an answer before acting. This is such an important model for us. David wasn't passive, but he also wasn't purely self-directed. He paired action with genuine inquiry. The second example is Rebekah, from the book of Genesis. While she was pregnant, she felt a struggle within her womb — something unusual and troubling enough that she went and inquired of the Lord about it directly. And God answered her, revealing something about the destiny of the children she was carrying before they were even born. This is remarkable. It shows us that inquiry isn't reserved for prophets and kings — it's available to ordinary people, in ordinary, even physically difficult moments of life.
