Rwanda Wasn’t What I Expected 🇷🇼 | My First Day in Kigali

My first day in Kigali, Rwanda, started with breaking open my safe to retrieve my passport—and ended with a very different impression from what I’d been told to expect! Come along as I fly from Uganda to Rwanda, explore Kigali, and finally take my first boda ride after almost five years of living in Uganda without trying one. We stop for breakfast, ride through town, explore the car-free Imbuga City Walk, pop into Simba Supermarket, and pass Norrsken House Kigali’s beautiful coworking space. Then we finish with Syrian and Lebanese food at Damasquino—with breakfast and dinner prices shown in Rwandan francs (RWF) and US dollars. Along the way, I share what stood out to me: the cleanliness, walkability, and how comfortable I felt exploring the city.
