After the school holidays the trio meet up again, but things have changed. Because over the summer, Ron and Hermione have admitted how they feel about one another and become a couple. They tell Harry expecting him to be happy for them, but he isn't, because he had been thinking a lot about Hermione over the summer and realised he liked her more than a friend. Ron and Hermione are somewhat surprised by his reaction, but as he doesn't explain why he is acting the way he is, they simply try to carry on as normal.
