☀️ CALLSUN CN215W PANEL https://callsunsolar.com/collections/... The link above is a standard non-affiliate link. Important- Multimeter readings don’t represent the power viewers should expect once the panel is connected to a charging system? The MPPT controller, wiring losses, and operating conditions also affect the actual charging output. Under ideal conditions, output through a suitable MPPT controller may be around 220W, although results will vary. (I will demonstrate this in the next video so stay tuned!) 🌳 FOUR-SECTION ANTI-SHADING DESIGN Moving shade affects backyards, rooftops and off-grid systems near trees. Callsun uses four independent sections to keep separate areas producing. Rated at 215W, 17.37V and 12.38A, it uses N-type monocrystalline cells, a bifacial design and 16 busbars. ⚡ SEVEN REAL-WORLD SHADE TESTS -244.3W with slight tree shade over the bottom-right area -239.8W after adding more shade in the same area -245.6W with thick house shade across a smaller left corner -242.4W with more of the bottom-left area shaded -194W with roughly one-quarter shaded diagonally -140.4W with approximately half of the lower panel shaded -119W with roughly 70% of the panel shaded Even with about 70% shade, it produced approximately 55% of its rated output. ☀️ FULL-SUN OUTPUT: 283W The complete no-shade sweep produced 258W, 272W, 283W, 279W and 277W. The 283W peak was approximately 132% of the panel’s rating. The meter also displayed approximately 18.5V and 15.3A. 🔥 HEAT, BIFACIAL AND THERMAL RESULTS -254W and 251W during heat-soaked tests -261.3W elevated over bright grass for bifacial production -271W after additional heat soak and moving out of the rear-side light -TOPDON center temperatures around 113°F to the low 120s -Approximately 115°F to 118°F at the center spot in the wider thermal view 🧪 REAL ARIZONA TEST SETUP The panel was mounted on my rolling IntegraRack at a measured 42.9° angle. The Kestrel showed approximately 78°F, 35% humidity and very light wind. The Fluke recorded 1,046 W/m² and 106°F at the front, then 978 W/m² and 91°F at the rear. Output was measured with the ZIBOO FT-1000W Solar MPPT Meter. 🏠 WHY THIS MATTERS Shade affects city backyards, rooftops, RV and mobile systems, and properties with limited unobstructed sunlight. I compare Callsun’s four-section design with the Tigo optimizers used across my 80-panel home system and explain why I am considering Callsun panels for a solar barn surrounded by trees. ⚡ WHAT YOU’LL SEE -Seven progressively harder shade tests -119W with roughly 70% shade -The complete climb to 283W -Heat-soaked and bifacial results -Front and rear irradiance readings -TOPDON thermal-camera results -My recommendation and real-world use cases -Fast packaging and unboxing at the end If you are searching for: whether solar panels work in shade, partial-shade solar performance, shade-tolerant or anti-shading solar technology, a Callsun CN215W review, an N-type bifacial solar panel, 132% solar output, backyard or urban solar, off-grid solar near trees, bifacial gain, Arizona heat testing, thermal-camera testing, Tigo optimizer alternatives, or an IntegraRack test setup, this video brings them together in one real-world test. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 00:00 283W peak and Callsun CN215W introduction 01:28 Test setup and unboxing note 01:41 IntegraRack rolling test platform 02:00 Arizona weather conditions 02:14 Panel angle: 42.9° 02:27 Front and rear irradiance 02:48 Heat-soaked output 03:01 Bifacial output over grass 03:16 Seven real-world shade tests 04:53 271W after additional heat soak 05:06 TOPDON thermal-camera results 05:30 Complete no-shade run to 283W 06:13 Verdict and who this panel is for 08:56 Packaging and unboxing 💬 YOUR TURN Which result surprised you more: 119W with roughly 70% shade, or 283W when the shade cleared?
