we try again with ANGEL WINGS || PRESIDENT reaction

welcome to heartcore where we chat about all things metalcore, post-hardcore, swancore… all the cores. instagram:   / heartcore.i   tiktok:   / heartcore.t   after reacting to “Destroy Me” and not fully connecting with it, we kept seeing requests for President over and over again. so here we are. round two. we talk about the electronic elements, the clean production, the screams vs soft vocals, and whether the EDM influence actually blends well with the heavier side of the song. there are definitely parts we can appreciate. his voice is strong and the track sounds crisp... but we’re still trying to figure out why it’s not fully clicking for us. we also get into the religious undertones, the recurring imagery (angel wings, crosses, masks), and whether there’s a larger message or storyline we might be missing by not diving into the lyrics deeper. with President opening for Bad Omens soon, we’re especially curious to see how this translates live. sometimes that’s what makes everything click. if there’s a President song you think will finally convert us, drop it below. we’re not giving up yet. 🖤show our buttons some love if you agreed with our takes (or if you disagreed and wanna tell us all about it) please drop any and all suggestions in the comments for future listens! business inquiries: heartcore.mail@gmail.com curated playlist of bands we cover: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3vz...
