On this route we take a look at eco safe driving and defensive driving: DEFENSIVE DRIVING: Keep distance to vehicles infront and beside you Look/scan as far down the road as you can see Be prepared to slow/stop for any potential hazard, even ones you can't see, for instance round a bend or over the crest of a hill Be aware of what's happening behind with regular mirror checks Don't drive in the blindspot of another vehicle for longer than necessary, even not at all if there's a situation coming up where they might switch lanes Don't assume others will follow the rules all of the time ECONOMICAL DRIVING: Gentle acceleration and deceleration Spot hazards, or any situations which may cause you to slow, early Keep the car rolling where possible. This is easier when obeying the previous two points.
