Only Part of a Day | To Allah We Return | English Nasheed

A lifetime of hopes, fears, gains, and tears. Yet how short is our stay? “Only Part of a Day” is an English nasheed about tawheed, tawakkul, and our inevitable return to Allah. Everything we hold belongs to Him. Even the hands holding our possessions are His. “To You we belong, to You return.” Using the thousand-year comparison in Qur’an 22:47, an eighty-year life corresponds proportionally to about one hour and fifty-five minutes. The lyrics use this “near two hours” image as a reflection on life’s brevity. When hardship comes, we remember: what we lose, what remains, and we ourselves belong to Allah. Our grief is known to Him, our days are under His command, and our return is certain.
