Premiere: Sonn - If I Cant Have You Feat Tony De Bart - Danza Recordings

Sonn returns with “If I Can’t Have You,” a 124 BPM progressive house anthem featuring Tony, premiering exclusively on Electronic Groove on 14 October 2026. At its core, the track draws from Tony Di Bart’s 1994 classic “The Real Thing,” reworking its unmistakable vocal refrain — “If I can’t have you, I don’t want nobody baby” — into a modern progressive framework. The result is a cut that honors the emotional pull of the original while pushing it toward the dancefloor with layered builds, melodic tension, and a payoff built for big rooms. Sonn treats the source material with respect but doesn’t treat it as sacred. The vocals sit in conversation with the production rather than on top of it, while the arrangement leans into the progressive house tradition of patience and release . It’s an anthem in the truest sense: hands-up when it needs to be, restrained when it doesn’t. “If I Can’t Have You” marks another step in Sonn evolving catalog and a fitting tribute to a vocal that has aged remarkably well.
